Charles, a retiree, gets a new lease on life when he answers a private detective ad and becomes a mole in a secret investigation at a nursing home. Based on the Chilean documentary El Agente Topo. I think a lot of works of art naturally have the purpose of making you think something like, “It was an honor to share the lives of these fictional characters.” This show certainly accomplishes that goal. Even those who come for the secret, which is given less attention, must be charmed by the humanity, which comes through not only in the script, but also in the acting of all the participants. I respect all the departments involved. Although Netflix has been harsh with series renewals lately, I hope they realize the potential of this show by giving it a season 2 while I look forward to seeing more adventures of these amazing characters.
